Restoration/Waterproofing

It’s an art. We have a deep appreciation for the role that New England has played as a leader in forming our nation. It is not something that we take lightly. Boston is our home and we care deeply about preserving the rich history that is held within its infrastructure. We have been fortunate over our tenure to be able to expand our services throughout New England to preserve the buildings that helped create the foundation of America. We believe that no job is too small, yet our acquired skills and our hunger to always have the greatest impact make CMR New England the ideal corporation to handle the largest scale projects including multiple building campuses.

We take pride in knowing that when we leave a job site, the structure, integrity, and beauty of these often 200-year-old buildings are prepared to withstand what the next 200 years have to offer. All historic restoration projects begin with an in-depth structural and design analysis. We employ on-staff design consultants as well as partner with building management/historical associations to ensure that the highest attention to detail will be implemented. We will be honest- our historic restoration services are the jobs that we love the most. We are a creative, passionate team that appreciates architectural beauty and we understand the value in restoring buildings that will withstand the test of time.

Whether you are in the beginning stages of planning a restoration and have questions that need to be answered or you have already created a scope of work. We encourage you to contact us today for a worry-free consultation. It would be our pleasure to be a part of your project.

We couldn’t consider ourselves to be professionals if we didn’t address the importance of waterproofing. We bring a sound understanding of the environmental impact that the harsh New England weather imposes on buildings. Failed flashing systems behind lentils and neglecting to maintain masonry are the primary causes of deterioration in building structures. Extreme weather conditions allow water to penetrate brick, steel, and wood sheathing. In winter months, the rain that penetrates buildings will then freeze and thaw due to the variable New England climate causing expansion and contraction which decreases the integrity of the structure more rapidly over time. A wise mentor once said “think like a raindrop” we can create a scope of work to rectify any chase leaks, salt problems, etc to restore the integrity of any structure aesthetically by creating a watertight seal. We conduct water tests on buildings which often exposes unseen defects within these structures that are causing rapid deterioration. Our investigatory approach provides analytical data to produce a comprehensive project scope of work. We then create custom fabricated solutions.

*We also provide building reconnaissance and erosion prevention protocols. If a crystal ball is what you seek- we don’t have one of those, but we do utilize the most modern state of the art technology that can give you the insight needed to establish a comprehensive long term maintenance plan.
